Art is all around us in nature and you can find it just by looking closely! Last week we took our Picassos out of the classroom and into nature to find their masterpieces! We gave our kiddos paper and let their imaginations run wild with ideas as the discovered the outdoor world. Spending time outdoors helps preschoolers develop important skills while building love and respect for the environment! Here at AOHV we encourage imagination and help enrich experiences for all our children, a stick isn't just a stick, its a magic wand and a pile of leaves can turn into a cozy blanket. As our students picked certain pieces of nature for their blank canvases we observed things like the colorful flowers blooming all around, the buzzing bees, the way the air smelled as the trees swayed from the wind. We talked about the different textures of rocks, dirt, and even characteristics of flowers! We encourage our children to express themselves in every way, shape and form!
