Olaf, Snowmen, Hot Chocolate Oh My!
We are finally having some seasonal cold weather for January so today we celebrated with a tasty and warm hot chocolate bar for the kids and parents. We had caramel, marshmallows, peppermint sprinkles, and whipped cream to go on top! Yum! We also had a special visitor Olaf come to the school. He went around to all the children and gave warm hugs and high fives. Winter can be so much fun whenever we can stay warm together!

Toddlers Hard At Work!
Fine motor skills are those that allow your toddler to feed himself, color with crayons and otherwise use his hands in his day-to-day existence. Developing fine motor skills is essential during the toddler years because it helps your child build the skill set he'll need to be successful in school. Painting is an entertaining activity for most toddlers, and while your child is busy creating a masterpiece, he's also building his fine motor skills.

Social-emotional development
Through early relationships and with
nurturing, responsive interactions, infants and toddlers learn ways of being in
relationships, how to get their needs and wants met, and how to identify and
regulate emotions. Because these skills develop together, this area of
development is referred to as social-emotional development.
