Welcome November!!

November is the month that we teach children what being "Thankful" really means and especially to them. Practicing gratitude sets children up to be more sensitive and empathic to others and less depending of and entitled over all.  It can also significantly improve their mental and emotional well-being .  It will help enhance their relationships, reducing stress, and promoting happiness, making them more resilient.

Some ways to teach what "thankful" means

Model saying "thank you" to others and encourage children to follow suit

Writing thank you cards for people doing something nice for you

set up appreciation mailboxes

adding the vocabulary words to your everyday use in the classroom and at home

Halloween @ AoHv!!

We had so much fun here @ AoHv for Halloween. The children loved dressing up in their spooktacular costumes. The teachers also got in on the fun and enjoyed dressing up with the children. The parents joined us for afternoon parties and we ended our day with trick or treating to the classrooms.

AoHv Annual Trunk or Treat!!

This past Saturday, October 26,2024 was our annual Trunk or Treat. We had a huge turn out and the event was a spooktacular event. The staff and educators really brought it to the table this year with the trunks and making the children's night so memorable. This year we decided to put a twist on it and ask for parent volunteers for trunks. The turnout was great and the parents kept raving about it. This is definitely a keeper for many years to come. Parent engagement plays a huge part in children's education success and making a school a wonderful place for children to feel safe and learn. We just want to say "Thank You" to all our educators and parents that helped make this night a success.
