What a great way to start the week off here at AOHV. We had our favorite Mr.Bruce come today. He is always fun and entertaining for the kids. They love his shows and he always has something new for them. He is able to connect with the kids and teach them important skills through his magic shows. Today's theme was "Merry Christmas". It was a great way to start the holiday season.
Here at AOHV, We are so "Thankful" for all of our parents. We couldn't do what we love to do without them. The support that they give us is phenomenal and they always go above and beyond for our school. We feel it's important to do the"little extras" for them. So to our parents we say "Thank You" for ALL YOU DO. Wednesday, we had a staff lunch, kids' lunch, and pajama day. It was a great way to end a fun week here at AOHV. Our staff was able to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving lunch with all the fixins. A big shout out goes to Mrs.Pam and Mrs.Gulestan! You guys did a great job on the staff and kids' lunch and we are so "Thankful" for you.
Here at AOHV, we love doing "special"art projects for our friends at NHC. We are teaching the children that random acts of kindness means so much to others. It is a great way to teach the children how to "sprinkle " kindness everywhere. It puts a smile on the residents faces as much as it makes the children feel "special" to create this art for them.
Happy Veteran's Day from The Academy of Harpeth Village! To those that served or are serving we say "Thank You". We are teaching the children in our care what Veterans day means and why it's an important day to celebrate our veterans.

This week we welcomed November here at the Academy of Harpeth Village. We started the week out with collecting socks For Room in The Inn. This is a great cause that helps gives new socks to people of all ages. We do this every year and enjoy helping others. It's a great way to teach the children how to give back. Then we finished our week out with painting with corn and pine cones. These activities helps strengthen fine motor muscles and sensory fun.
