Family Picnic!!

 Staying engaged with our families and friends help us build stronger connections, foster warmth, bond, and create fun memories. Our family picnic was definitely a breath of fresh air and perfect weather for the occasion. What a GREAT day!!

Every Bunny Had Fun Today!

It was a super special day of fun at AoHV! The children started with the 9th annual Spring Egg Hunt and the weather was gorgeous! They chased the life size bunny and showed off their cute outfits and baskets! We had many golden egg winners and then had a great party for snack! Thank you moms and dads for the healthy and tasty snack donations, and great job to our fabulous educators for making this school the best! We hope you have a fantastic and safe weekend! Sensory Time!

Sensory play encourages learning through exploration, curiosity, problem solving and creativity. It helps build connections in the brain and encourages the development of language, cognitive, sensory processing, math, science, and motor skills. 

Sensory play is an important part of childhood and, within reason, there are really no limits to what you can use in sensory activities. Here at the Academy we have dirt boxes, sand/water tables, sensory art, and sensory tables just to name a few. 

Today at the Academy the teachers created sent jars with familiar smells to see if their children could figure out the sent. It's a scientific fact that the brain connects smells to memories! 

We use our senses at every age!
