Sensory time with snow!

The children always love a snow day at home with family, but sometimes it's even more fun at school with all of their friends! This week we celebrated the snow with sensory buckets, discussing Arctic animals, painting with marshmallows, and playing outside with the snow on the playground! We love winter for many reasons but it's getting much colder next week, everyone stay safe, have a great weekend!

Baby-Doll Circle Time

Baby Doll Circle Time™ Children develop best within the context of caring relationships. Baby Doll Circle Time™ provides the opportunity for young children to experience being the nurturer by interacting with their baby dolls (or teddy bear) in the same ways that we as caring adults might interact with them. As the children play with their dolls, they relive and strengthen the attachment and connection that they have with their caregivers and parents. Baby Doll Circle Time™ is a way to ensure that children experience the attachment, attunement, and social play required for optimal brain development.

The goals of Baby Doll Circle Time™ are to:

 Enhance attachment

 Increase self-regulation

 Promote trust

 Foster attunement skills

Baby Doll Circle Time™ focuses on building connection through:

 Eye contact

 Gentle, appropriate touch

 Being present in the moment

 Playful interactions

Baby-Doll Circle Time™ was developed by Dr. Becky Bailey and is a trademark of Conscious Discipline®. For more information visit www.consciousdiscipline.com

SNOW DAY!

Snow days are the best time to have unrestricted space and endless opportunities to stimulate children's physical development. Playing in the snow also creates a time to utilize coordination skills, math skills, general thinking skills, and memories that will last forever.  Here are some family photos from a fun filled snow day!
