Outta This World Week
The children did a great job learning about outer space, planets, telescopes, astronauts, and rocket ships. They enjoyed making toys from recycled products, and presenting them to each other. Their curiosity about the world and outer space is astronomical!

Nature Week!!
As children observe, reflect, play, and share nature's patterns and rhythms, they are also participating in a process that promotes scientific and ecological awareness, problem solving and creativity. I like to think that play is the "work" of children. We know that play is an essential part of normal childhood development. Our children have had a fabulous week learning and playing with/in nature.

Water, Mud, & Sunshine!
Last Friday, the children played outside in the sunshine with water toys and sprinklers. They had so much fun laughing, dancing, twirling, running, and getting soaked together. Today was mud day and they got to use their senses to squish, smell, see, and touch the mud. We love to see them explore and create masterpieces using their imaginations!
Summer Fun!
We are having a ball and doing it all! The children have enjoyed so many fun summer activities so far, and we have so much more planned! The Pre-Scholar Enrichment program is now focused on STEM activities which include Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The topics incorporated can be taught in parallel with each other and their time spent with Mrs. Sharon is fun, engaging, educational, and entertaining.
We had a special visit from Kona Ice which was a real treat on a hot summer day. Friday's are water play days in June and in July they will have water activities on Thursday's. We can't wait to show you what we're up to!
