Fine Motor Discovery!

As children develop fine motor skills they develop the ability to accomplish tasks, such as, grasping toys or writing. It is highly imperative that children work to develop fine motor skills. Today at the Academy of Harpeth Village, the children had the opportunity to work on fine motor skills while engaging in a pipe cleaner and colander activity! The children had so much fun lacing pipe cleaners through the holes in the colander! What fun! 

Cooking Up Fun!

We have had so much fun during cooking week! The children had the chance to make homemade ice cream! They also got to explore a spaghetti noodle sensory bin! The children also played a healthy food matching game! A fun time was had by all! 

When Life Gives You Lemons...!

It's cooking week at the Academy of Harpeth Village! So far this week, the children have learned all about different types of food and how they are prepared! Today the children had the chance to make some lemonade! They had a blast learning all the steps to make lemonade! They were all so proud of their fun creation!

Book Character Day!

Today was book character day at the Academy of Harpeth Village! Everyone had a blast dressing up as their favorite book character! Reading week has been so much fun! 

Reading is FUNdamental!

It's reading week at the Academy of Harpeth Village! To kick off reading week, we had the Nashville Public Library Puppet Truck come visit! We also had a special visit from Pete the Cat at our book fair! What fun!
