Red, White, and Blue!

Today we celebrated the Fourth of July with a red, white, and blue dress up day! To celebrate the day, the children also created art and listened to stories to learn more about the holiday! 

Below are some Fourth of July Fun Facts (courtesy of the Library of Congress):
1. The observation of the Fourth of July was only commonplace after the war of 1812
2. The Fourth of July was declared a federal holiday on June 28, 1870
3. The first Fourth of July celebration was in Philadelphia in 1777
