Let Them Play All Day Long!

 Here at The Academy one of the amazing things we offer for our educators and staff is conference trainings! We take this time to be able to give our educators new ideas and talk about the importance of what they do day in and out! This year for our spring conference we had guest speakers Shawn Brown and Beth Cannon! Both of these amazing speakers talked about the importance of teaching in Early Childhood and new ideas to improve classroom management and engagement! Our educators absolutely loved this conference and walked away feeling refreshed, supported and excited! This summer we can't wait to let our kiddos play all day long!

                                        

                                           

       

A Night Under the Stars

 Something we love to do here for our graduating pre-k class is give them a night to remember and we do that with a prom! This year our prom theme was "A Night Under the Stars", we turned our enrichment room into a star filled sky and let the music play high! Our kiddos dressed best to impress and had the time of their lives, they danced and sang and most importantly got to be celebrated! It was so amazing to watch our kiddos have so much fun and be able to create a lifelong memory they will look back on! 

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher appreciation week is a very important week to us here at AOHV. We care so deeply for our support staff and teachers so all week long we shower them with catered lunches, gifts galore and all the love we can give them.  It's important to us to let our teachers know how much we love and care for them when everyday they show up to give these kiddos their all! We truly wouldn't be AOHV without them!

Mothers Day Tea Party

 Here at the academy we love our mothers very much and we decided this year they deserved a tea party! We turned our enrichment room into an elegant and classy experience for them. We served nice warm tea, delicious pastries and a relaxing ambiance. It was such a great experience being able to watch our moms be able to have such a lovely time with their children. We loved being able to celebrate them and show them how much we care for them and give them a special memory with their child.

Fire Drill Ready

 Here at The Academy of Harpeth Village we take safety measures very serious and we always want our staff to feel prepared. Last week we had our monthly fire drill and our kiddos and staff rocked it! Fire drill safety is an important skill for preschoolers to learn in a calm and reassuring way. We teach our kiddos that fire drills help everyone stay safe! By using clear directions, repetition, and gentle guidance helps preschoolers feel confident and prepared ensuring they understand how to respond safety in an emergency.
