Car Seat Safety!

This week we had car seat safety day! The children learned how to practice safety in the car! The Metro Nashville Police Department came and did car seat checks and gave our parents car safety tips as well! Practicing proper car safety can help prevent a tragic situation. Below are some car seat safety tips! 

  1. Keep the car seat straps snug
  2. The back seat is the best
  3. Make sure your car seat is not past its expiration date
  4. Make sure you use the right car seat for your child's height and weight

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month!

Feliz Mes De La Herencia Hispana (Happy Hispanic Heritage Month)! We kicked off celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by creating a mural featuring trailblazers who are Hispanic! We are so excited to be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! The children are so excited to learn more about Hispanic trailblazers and Hispanic Culture!

Our Pre-K classes have been learning about the members of our school community! Today they took a tour of our school and met the management staff, the cook, and the custodian! They loved learning about how everyone works so hard to help make school amazing!

Fire Safety!

Fire safety is very important! Today we practiced fire safety with a fire drill! All the children and teachers did a great job getting out of the building and staying safe! Please be sure to discuss a fire safety plan with your family! Below are some fire safety tips to help you practice fire safety at home!
1. Have an escape plan in case of fire 
2. Find two exit points for every room in the house
3. Pick a meeting place for family
4. Keep children 3 feet away from anything that can get hot
5. Keep lighters and matches out of reach of children
