Here at AOHV, we love doing "special"art projects for our friends at NHC. We are teaching the children that random acts of kindness means so much to others. It is a great way to teach the children how to "sprinkle " kindness everywhere. It puts a smile on the residents faces as much as it makes the children feel "special" to create this art for them.
Happy Veteran's Day from The Academy of Harpeth Village! To those that served or are serving we say "Thank You". We are teaching the children in our care what Veterans day means and why it's an important day to celebrate our veterans.

This week we welcomed November here at the Academy of Harpeth Village. We started the week out with collecting socks For Room in The Inn. This is a great cause that helps gives new socks to people of all ages. We do this every year and enjoy helping others. It's a great way to teach the children how to give back. Then we finished our week out with painting with corn and pine cones. These activities helps strengthen fine motor muscles and sensory fun.
What a fun day here at AOHV! We had so much fun celebrating Halloween. Our families even got to come to the class parties this year. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed some yummy treats.
