Teacher Appreciation: Day 2!

On the second day of Teacher Appreciation we had Tacky Tuesday dress up! The teachers also played a guessing game to see who could identify the most of the teacher's childhood photos! The teachers also received lotions! Thank you, teachers, for all you do!

Teacher Appreciation: Day 1!

Today was the first day of Teacher Appreciation Week at the Academy of Harpeth Village! This year's theme is Homecoming! Throughout the week, we will have dress up days and fun activities for the teachers and children! Today was 'Merica Monday dress up! All the children and teachers came dressed up in their red, white, and blue! The teachers also got a chance to enjoy a nice muffin breakfast! On top of goodies from the parents, the teachers also received key chains! We love our teachers and appreciate everything they do for our children! 

Caterpillars and Butterflies!

In honor of Spring, Our Preschool 4 class learned about the transformation caterpillars undergo to become butterflies! The children loved watching the caterpillars go through metamorphosis! The children loved having butterflies in their classroom! It was very bittersweet when the children released the butterflies into the wild! 

Picnic Time In Tennessee!

Today was our annual spring picnic at the Academy of Harpeth Village! The children and their parents enjoyed a fun picnic lunch outside! We are so glad the rain held off, so we could enjoy this special lunch! 

Somebunny Had A Great Easter!

We had a great time celebrating Easter here at the Academy of Harpeth Village! The children enjoyed an egg hunt and a special visit from the Easter bunny! What fun! 

Little Pig, Little Pig!

Our toddlers have been all about traditional tales, such as, the three little pigs! To learn more about pigs our Toddler 2 class pretended to roll in the mud (brown butcher paper), just like pigs! The children had fun rolling around in the pretend mud with their friends! 

Sail Into Learning!

Our Preschool 4 class had a lesson on sailboats! They had the chance to create their own sailboat and test it's ability to float and sail in the water! The children loved being able to learn how boats stay afloat in water! The loved having sailboat races as well!
