What a beautiful day to have our Branches Bolt! We are so thankful to be a part of a school that supports and offers help to those in the community. BRANCHES MINISTRIES is a non-profit Christian ministry focused on reaching in and out to the staff, families and community of Pre-schools nation-wide.Thank you Branches! The children ran their little hearts out!

Magic With Bruce!

We had a great time with Mr. Bruce Amato the magician! The children's favorite part was when he had a friend put string in a box and then he pulled out a rabbit. 

Magic tricks are nothing but the combination of human psychology, hypnotism, science principles and extreme practice by the practitioner or magician. For children these tricks are a source of great curiosity and fun. Many science principles are like magic, which are used by many magicians in their shows to attract, wonder and entertain the kids. After revealing the facts, children learn that there is nothing like magic in this world but science.

Fall Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt is a great way to sneak in some lessons. Math, spelling, gross motor, and science are all worked into a creative hunt. We also encourage great team work.  They found candy corn, pine cone, flowers, sticks, pumpkin, scarecrow, acorns, and a pile of fall leaves.  The children/teachers had a blast doing their hunt and enjoying the nice weather!!

Monkey Joe's Family Night!

We all had a wonderful time Tuesday night at Monkey Joe's with our Academy families. We were so fortunate to have 65 families visit! We bounced around together for a couple of hours and ate pepperoni & cheese pizza with yummy cake! We also had a special visit from ACE the Academy frog and Monkey Joe was there as well! Thank you to everyone who came and helped, it was a great success!

Reading is Fun!

This week we have an awesome scholastic book fair at our center. We have really enjoyed all of the special stories and children's expressions as they explore the book fair and read with their friends and families. Even at such a young age as in the infant classes, the importance of this special bonding time builds relationships and encourages positive brain functioning in all areas of their development. Thank you teachers and scholastic for providing our school with these wonderful tools and experiences!

The Little Rabbit Who Wanted Red Wings

We had the Nashville Library come to our school today to put on a puppet show. The children sat so quietly and watched. When little rabbit wishes for long, beautiful red wings, his wish comes true, but life is not at all as he'd expected: his friends, and even his own mother, don't recognize him! It not only teaches children be careful what you wish for, but most important just be you!

It is so much fun when everybody dresses up for Disco week! The teachers and kids all had fun today listening to "We are family" and other fun songs from the Disco era! Check out these awesome outfits and poses!

World Travel Week

We have had a great time learning about different cultures and different parts of the world. Mrs. Hilda is from South Africa so she did a presentation about South African culture and traditions. She brought in a special treat of rice krispies and caramel for the children, they always love special treats! Today we will have tacos as we enjoy our time learning about Mexico and speaking in spanish. The kids love singing the months of the ano'!
